Faulty Goods and Warranties

If the item that has been received is faulty, damaged or not as described then we will cover the cost of return postage (up to £10) and offer a refund or exchange. In these instances, we would always recommend using our own shipping services.

Important information to note about returning faulty, damaged or not-as-described items:

Pauls Cycles issue no warranties, all warranties are issued by manufacturers. For this reason, we may need to send your goods to the manufacturer for inspection before taking any action. Please see the relevant manufacturer's website for full warranty information.

Only products that are faulty, damaged or not as described by ourselves are eligible for returns/exchanges. If damage has been caused through wear and tear, improper care or some other factor beyond our control then it will not be covered.

Once a faulty item has been used, or if the packaging has been damaged it can still be returned to us, however, we - and the manufacturer - reserve the right to offer a repair, replacement or partial refund.

Remember it is your responsibility to ensure that returned items are packaged appropriately - any damage caused in transit [as a result of inadequate packaging] will be chargeable.

We cannot accept any cycle warranty claim or return for incorrect pedal fitment or damage to crank arms caused by incorrect pedal fitment as described in the helpsheet supplied with all of our bikes.

If the wheels on the bike you've ordered become untrue through use, or the gears need readjustment after initial use, this unfortunately not covered under warranty.

Whyte Glencoe Gravel Road Bike 2019 Granite

Season:2019

Brand:Whyte

Code:WGLE

The Glencoe is the most versatile all-round road bike we have ever made.

Take the rough with the smooth. Ever set off for a gentle road ride but ended up in a jarring tussle with the cracked and potholed British asphalt? Not anymore. Whatever surface the road throws at you, there is now a road bike that really can cope with it all – the Whyte Glencoe. It's a bike that defines the emerging RoadPLUS category, purring along on smooth tarmac – but when the going gets tough, the Glencoe really comes into its own

The Glencoe combines our Gravel/Adventure frame with Road Plus tyres. These high air volume 650b tyres have the same rolling circumference as a 700c X 28c setup and give huge levels of comfort and security on even the roughest road surfaces.

1 x 11 gearing offers simplicity and efficiency that cannot be rivalled. TRP mechanical/hydraulic disc brakes add stopping power and control.

Size Guides are a great way to help you find the right bike, but we always recommend visiting our store to view and sit on the bike in person where possible or speaking to our advice team.

This Size Guide is based on an average build, if you have shorter arms or longer legs for example you will need to consider this when purchasing a bike. If you are between sizes, we always recommend sizing down as a smaller bike can be made bigger with adjustments. Stem length, Saddle height, Handlebar width and even Crank length can be changed to achieve the ideal riding position. See here for our general bike sizing guide.

Professional Opinion

Road CC give the Glencoe 4 out of 5

Whyte's all-new Glencoe combines an aluminium frame with 650B tyres and a very different approach to geometry to provide a supremely relaxed, comfortable and confidence-inspiring ride that excels on rough roads and fast descents.

I was bombing down all my favourite descents with more speed and less nervousness than any endurance or gravel bike I've tested recently. The wide bar gives you plenty of control through the bends and despite what you might think about the short stem, there is absolutely no twitchiness to the steering, it's all very calm and relaxed.

For riding urban and rural roads at a comfortable pace and maybe throwing in the odd canal towpath, the Glencoe is a real delight. The handling really sets it apart from conventional road bikes, with a stability and relaxed manner that few road bikes can rival. The tyres provide loads of comfort and are virtually bombproof when encountering holes and rocks.
