Faulty Goods and Warranties

If the item that has been received is faulty, damaged or not as described then we will cover the cost of return postage (up to £10) and offer a refund or exchange. In these instances, we would always recommend using our own shipping services.

Important information to note about returning faulty, damaged or not-as-described items:

Pauls Cycles issue no warranties, all warranties are issued by manufacturers. For this reason, we may need to send your goods to the manufacturer for inspection before taking any action. Please see the relevant manufacturer's website for full warranty information.

Only products that are faulty, damaged or not as described by ourselves are eligible for returns/exchanges. If damage has been caused through wear and tear, improper care or some other factor beyond our control then it will not be covered.

Once a faulty item has been used, or if the packaging has been damaged it can still be returned to us, however, we - and the manufacturer - reserve the right to offer a repair, replacement or partial refund.

Remember it is your responsibility to ensure that returned items are packaged appropriately - any damage caused in transit [as a result of inadequate packaging] will be chargeable.

We cannot accept any cycle warranty claim or return for incorrect pedal fitment or damage to crank arms caused by incorrect pedal fitment as described in the helpsheet supplied with all of our bikes.

If the wheels on the bike you've ordered become untrue through use, or the gears need readjustment after initial use, this unfortunately not covered under warranty.

What is Tubeless and why?

Your first bicycle probably had inner tubes. Most of us start off life bouncing around happily on tires filled with black rubber balloons. Mum or Dad have to inflate them every spring and patch or replace them any time we ride over a nail or thorn, but for the most part, they get the job done for trips around the neighborhood.

Start riding some more, though, on trails or longer road rides, and the limitations of inner tubes become obvious. Sooner or later, anyone who spends time a bicycle, has some revelations:

  • Getting punctures and fixing flats is no fun.
  • There are a lot of sharp, pointy things out there.
  • A little lower air pressure in tires offers more traction, comfort, and control.
  • That same lower pressure can let the tire compress when you hit something, smashing the inner tube between the ground and your rim, and causing a puncture.
  • Getting punctures and fixing flats is no fun.

Whether you race or not, once you start thinking about tires and air pressure, you’re officially what marketing types refer to as an “enthusiast.” That means you’re pretty into this whole bike riding thing, and it’s time to search for something better than an inner tube.

Going Tubeless has many benefits, not just its ability to seal punctures on the go: you can run lower pressures to gain more traction without risking pinch punctures, your tyres will be more responsive to bumps and it saves weight. All meaning you can have more fun on your bike!
